Alesis Products and the Grammys

Steely Dan's album "Two Against Nature" won the categories "Album of the year", "Best performance by a duo or group", "Best pop vocal album", and "Best-engineered album". The 24-bit/96kHz version of this album (available on DVD Video) has been mixed and mastered by Roger Nichols using MasterLink. "Cherokee Maiden" by Asleep at the Wheel has been nominated "Best country performance by a duo or group". The album was recorded and mixed entirely on Alesis M20s.

Also nominated for "Best engineered album" is George Benson's "Absolute Benson", mixed and mastered on MasterLink by Steve Barkan, Jon Fausty, Al Schmitt & Bill Schnee.

(Note that two out of five albums nominated for best engineered album have been recorded on MasterLink!)

Nominated for "Best Classical Crossover Album" is "Two Worlds" by Dave Grusin, Lee Ritenour & Gil Shaham. This album was recorded using the GT AM40 tube condenser microphone and mixed and mastered on MasterLink.

Finally, Oscar De La Hoya's debut album of the same name has been nominated "Best Latin Pop Album". The Alesis airFX has been used on two tracks of this album.
